5th in A Final
Poleman Anderton led the way in the A Final with Brown, Norris and Clay for company and a large snarling pack waiting in the wings to swallow up the leaders should they start battling. But Anderton had learned from his fight with Ticktum the previous day and, after a brief shuffle five laps from home, he moved back to the front, allowed his engine to cool, and kept everyone at bay over the final lap to take his maiden FKS triumph by 0.07s over Norris and Clay, with Smith, Ticktum and Brown completing the top six.
