Jamie Caroline had two HONDA CADET heats wins; Daniel Ticktum and Billy Monger one apiece. There were some fast guys though in this race, and whilst Ticktum had pole, Caroline and Monger were on grids 5 and 7, with quick youngsters such as Jack Mitchell, Dave Wooder and Liam Murray holding strong grid positions for the start of the Final.
The start was the best of the meeting with the drivers about as side-by-side as they could have been, with Caroline making an equally outstanding start to lead the first lap from grid 5. It had been an impressive piece of driving and one that he capitalised on, at least until the end of lap four when Ticktum got ahead and came past in the lead. A big incident on lap six then settled the lead fight when Ticktum and Wooder and Jack Partridge (grid 6), who had been 3rd and 4th, all spun off.
