Daniel Ticktum led from the start of the Rookies final, with Peter Griffin in 2nd for the first lap. As they went into lap two Griffin was relegated to 5th place and Lawrence moved into 2nd. On lap six Lawrence grabbed the lead, but Ticktum retook the front spot a lap later and held on to claim victory. Cornwell came home in 3rd.
