Caroline won the final heat with teammate Cameron Roberts pushing him home but it was Ahmed’s starring performances that gave him pole position for the Final, which took place under sunny skies and warm temperatures. It was also the best race of the weekend as six karts pulled away, which became five when Smith retired with a snapped chain.
Ahmed held the lead initially before losing out first to Caroline, then to Alfie Brown and then to Ticktum. After dropping back to 3rd Caroline moved back into the lead inside half a lap as the laps wound down, passing both Anderton and Ticktum and held on for his second win of the year, defending successfully against Anderton through the final corner.
